VAT price changes
Following the recent VAT changes we've reduced the prices of our products and services which have standard rate UK VAT included and which we don't already offer at a discounted price. You'll see this reduction in your January bill and we'll then apply a credit to your account to backdate this saving to 1 December 2008 when these changes took effect.
We want to make our pricing as simple as possible so we've rounded the prices on many of the products and services that have been reduced. Get more information and the prices. And don't forget you can check your bill anytime at sky.com/mysky or by using the Interactive key on your remote.

Standard set-up:Standard set-up for existing Sky TV customers is £60. Non-standard set-up may cost extra. Activation for existing customers taking Sky Broadband only is £75 for Base, £50 for Mid & Connect or £25 for Max (or £25 less when combined with Sky Talk).
Sky digital Subscription: Sky TV Packages £16.50 - £46 per month. Sky Box Office movies/events cost extra. Sky News and Sky Three are available without a subscription, Sky Three, Ch4, Five, Five US and Five Life require a viewing card.
Free Sky box offer: You do not have to subscribe to Sky digital. Offer limited to one per household. Sky selects your equipment.
Sky+: Sky+ box £199 with Sky TV, £99 when you join Sky TV online or £292.64. Sky+ can store an average of 40 hours of programmes. Sky+ subscription required for Personal Video Recorder features (free for Sky TV customers, or £9.75 pm).
Sky+HD:The channels you receive with the HD Pack depend on your Sky TV package. If you have the standard definition Sky Sports or Sky Movies channel in your package you will receive the high definition version of that channel if available in the HD Pack. Sky+HD requires Sky TV, a Sky+HD box and the HD Pack (£9.75 extra pm) and is the new name for Sky HD. Sky+ subscription required for Personal Video Recorder features (free for Sky TV customers, or £9.75 pm). Dolby Digital surround sound requires a compatible home cinema system. Sky+HD box £199 with Sky TV and the HD Pack or £99 when you join Sky TV with the HD Pack online. Otherwise £292.64. Luxe TV HD, Channel 4 HD and BBC HD are available without subscription. Channel 4 HD requires a viewing card. You need a HD Ready TV to experience the full benefits of Sky+HD.
Sky Broadband: Connect product at £17 a month is available to customers outside our network area. You must subscribe to Sky TV to get Sky Broadband. From 1.3.09, Sky Broadband Base, Mid and Max will increase by £5 per month unless you have Sky Talk. Sky Talk pricing and call rates may vary, current rates can be found at sky.com/skytalk. Monthly usage limits: Base – 2GB; Mid – 40GB; Max – Unlimited; Connect – 40GB & subject to Traffic Management Policy. If your PC/laptop is not wireless enabled, you can buy the necessary equipment from Sky. Wireless coverage depends on variable factors within the home. MAC users receive 12 months free McAfee VirusScan worth £19.99.
Sky Talk: Sky Talk is only available to Sky digital subscribers paying their subscription by Direct Debit/continuous credit card mandate. Not available to BT Light Users or if outgoing calls are barred. Codes of Practice for sales and marketing and premium rate/NTS services can be found at sky.com/skytalk.
General: Your Sky box(es) must be connected to a fixed telephone line for 12 months and Sky selects your equipment. Only one £99 Sky+ or Sky+HD box per household. Sky+/ Sky+HD box prices may vary if you live in a flat. You must get any consents required (e.g. landlord’s). Minimum Sky digital/Sky+/Sky+HD/Multiroom/Sky Broadband subscriptions 12 months.
